Rusty Trucks & Rotten Wood
I went for a ‘photo drive’ with some photographer friends this morning. It was a cold and damp morning, with a boring grey sky but, as I always say: ‘There is no bad light!’ We drove down a country road and stopped along the way to find new treasures and rediscover old ones.

Valerie, I love your rustic photos. you are so talented with your eye… I wish I could get out and about and go to the places you go to to get those pictures. I have a request… It you get an opportunity to photograph some rusty hinges on doors or barn doors or gates I would sure like to see those. That is something I have been wanting to paint for a long time…. I did a painting of a rusty truck last year for Christmas. Keep up your good work I enjoy perusing your work weekly… or at least when you post. Thank you for letting me see the world through your eyes….
It’snot jus the rust. The color of rust/amber/brown mix is gorgeous. Wood tones are my favorites
After seeing these, I sure wish I had been able to join you. Cheers!
You continue to make old stuff look beautiful. Did you do any tweaking in Photoshop or Lightroom to heighten the colors?
Beautiful photographs. I especially appreciate the fourth with the springs coming out of the seat back. Thanks for sharing.
I love shooting old stuff too! Very nice Valerie.
Ahhh, but the boring grey sky is wonderful light for subjects!
What a great series, glad I found your blog!
