Photo Essay: Back Alley Secrets

Back alleys have always intrigued me. Is it because they are often depicted as crime scenes in films? Is it the sense of danger that attracts me to them? The truth is: I love photographing architectural details, close-ups and textures.  I started exploring alleys and discovered the unexpected: Not all alleys are dark, damp and scary. They offer some interesting details that often bring you back to another era. Here are just of few samples of my early discoveries…
