Take a stroll through Le Père Lachaise in Paris – Photo Essay

There is a special place in Paris, off the beaten track, where you can enjoy a stroll and lose track of time. Le Père Lachaise, located in the 20th arrondissement, is the largest cemetery in Paris and one of the most famous in the world. It is the resting place of many famous writers, composers and other artists such as Frédéric Chopin, Gertrude Stein, Balzac, Colette, Molière, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison to name a few. You can follow a detailed map to find a specific resting place or walk randomly, as I did, and enjoy the peacefulness of the place. Instead of featuring famous graves on this photo essay, I wanted to convey the atmosphere of the place, with its local visitors and ever present feline residents.
