Enjoying The Moment

If you subscribe to this blog I hope you enjoy B&W street photography. Although I am shooting other things during my travels this summer, street photography remains my favorite pass-time. If I had to pick just one genre, street photography would be it!

I was visiting Rouen (Normandy, France) yesterday and I spotted this row of park chairs. I had found my stage, I just had to wait for the scene to take place. A grand-mother, her daughter and a child walked by, the grandma sat down and her daughter stood by her while the child was playing. I had visualized the shot with the empty chairs and one person sitting at the end. The daughter saw me and understood what I was trying to capture. She kindly moved out of the frame and I got my shot. Her mother never knew I was there as she continued to enjoy a rest while watching her grandchild play.
