  1. What do you do or say to encourage such smiles? I look for smiles, but as soon as I raise the camera they become, not hostile, but cautious or shy or studying. I try to smile and talk and encourage them to relax, or if I can, just blend into the background. But for some reason I have to start from ground zero every time.
