The Streets of San Francisco

From Haight & Ashbury to Chinatown to North Beach, I truly enjoyed doing street photography in San Francisco last weekend. It was a family vacation, not a photography trip. Although I had my Fuji x100s with me at all times, photography was not the focus of this trip (no pun intended). I still managed to grab a few shots here and there. I’ll be back and will most likely lead a photo workshop there in 2015.

  1. Beautiful Valerie. That has to be one of the ultimate places to go for street photography – will have to put that on my “bucket list”.

  2. In my humble opinion, this gallery is the best work of yours I’ve seen as a collection. I really enjoyed these images – captivating and full of feeling. Perhaps some of one’s best work can be done when photography isn’t the number one intention.

    • Thank you Eric! I think that I am just as aware of what is happening around me as when I am alone, the only problem is that I can’t take my time like I would if I was alone or with other photographers. My family is quite patient with me but every photographer knows the frustration of vacationing with non-photographers. But I’m sure we’re not always easy to live with either 😉
