The Adventure Continues ~ Week 2
Or maybe I should say the ‘non-photographic’ adventure continues. I just finished week #2 of my family vacation, the camera always by my side but no time devoted to photography exclusively. I’m managing to grab a shot here and there. Happy with a keeper at the end of the day as I rarely shoot more than 15 frames while enjoying family time. Do I find it frustrating at times? Yes I do. But I keep looking at it as a challenge and I’ve always believed in quality over quantity.
Home base this July is my family home in Normandy. We also took a road trip to the Eastern part of France and visited Metz. We enjoyed a short visit to Luxembourg as well, before heading West to Brittany and the medieval town of Dinan. Back in Normandy now for another week of vacation. I may take a few hours to myself during the last stretch of the trip and go out with the sole purpose of doing street photography. Honestly, taking a break it is not as hard as I thought it would be. I am so fortunate to spend all my time (outside of vacation time) with other photographers and my camera for the sole purpose of shooting or teaching. Life is good!
Here are a few of the street photography keepers this week. I am also shooting other things in preparation of a new keynote presentation titled The Art of Seeing Photographically. More on that later .

Your photos are amazing….very inspirational…I just got my fuji x100t 3 days ago and I literally want to cry….every shot I’ve taken thus far is blurred….even on program mode…after seeing your photos I’m determined not to give up…..thanks for sharing your talent

I had the great fortune to visit Normandy many, many years ago. We visited areas and sites key to the history of World War II but also got to experience the beautiful countryside. Your images brought that amazing visit back. Thanks for that!

Tete a tete is my favourite. Don’t get me wrong, all of your work speaks to me but this one just tugs at my heart. It is inspiring to follow such a strong female street photographer. Passe une belle journee:)

I love the men and their ice creams. It tells a story and the expression on the man on the right is brilliant. I love the way you capture everyday events and use the light so well. Thanks for teaching me 🙂

Love the dog and the man photo, I love it when people treat their animals like humans. Boy I wish I lived in a interesting place other Than Virginia Beach to take photo’s like this. 🙂
