La Plage
I just spent a few days of vacation at my family home in Normandy, France. I’m not a beachgoers. I cannot sit still but I certainly enjoy walking, collecting sea glass and, of course, taking pictures. I also stay away from the busy beaches and prefer the lesser known one, where the locals go.
There is humor at the beach, people let their guards down. It’s a joy for the storyteller.
Here are a few pics collected during my summer beach walk in Normandy. All shot with the Fujifilm X100F with the timeless look of Classic Chrome.
Thank you for visiting!

I love the stripe’s lady. A superb kit including the mattress. Nice visual find.

I love the humor as you see it and capture it! ….and the way you make use of the minimalist opportunities at a beach like this. Splendid!

Great as always. I can’t help laugh each time I see the guy with his head under the mat. Place it next to the exposed head in the sand and the mind begins to boggle. Your beaches are so different to mine.

Great blog post, Valerie! Love the lighthearted feel in the humor and ambiance.
With Classic Chrome are you dialing the color setting down, do you leave it as is or do you increase it? What have you found as best for you?
As always I enjoy your work.
Sincerely,
Joshua

Hi Joshua! Thanks 🙂 I set Highlights +1 and Shadows +1 in camera. Add a touch of clarity in LR.
