Paris – San Francisco – NYC – Paris – Cabourg

It’s been a while, I haven’t posted since February. Did you miss me? I’ve busy traveling, teaching, writing… And of course: Taking pictures!

I thought it was time to show you a few pics I collected over the past few weeks in Paris, San Francisco, New York, Paris again and home in Normandy…

I’m also excited to have a series of photo education webinars starting this week, available Live and Replay. More details here: Valerie’s webinars.

So here are a few of the people and objects that caught my eyes over the past few weeks. Having such different locations in one blog post probably makes for an interesting mix…. Which is your favorite?

  1. Yes, I did miss your wonderful images. Good to see them again. I’m embarrassed to see the way people dress in Paris and compare their sense of fashion to our slovenly dress in the U.S. I’m as guilty as the next person, and my only excuse is that in California the weather is generally warmer and we have less occasion to wear the scarves and coats. I know that’s a lame excuse. Please keep posting your photos.

  2. I, too, loved them all, Valerie! I like all the different angles, the perspectives from near to far, and I love the horses too. I’ll be waiting to see them in the different seasons!

  3. Very hard not to choose Paris, but the photo that stood out for me was the shadow on the corrugated steel wall with the red petals on the ground and the same red at the end of the sleeve.

    • Thank you! This was a few weeks ago in San Francisco. It was during Chinese New Year, there were red firecrackers everywhere and I wanted to convey the event in my frame. It as all about the color red 🙂

    • Thanks Barron! It’s a morning routine just outside my window when the tide is low (but it was shot from the beach). They often go in the water too. I can’t wait to photograph them through the seasons!
