Visual Narratives: Carol
I visited my good friend Carol at her studio this weekend. She just finished designing and making a ‘walking dress’ from 1817, complete with undergarments, jacket, and all. The project took several months and it was fascinating to learn about all the steps involved, from the extensive research to the finished product. I’m in awe of her talent and patience! Carol also teaches a class on the history of garments at a local university.
Shot with the Fujifilm X100V at 23mm in Acros. The on-going series can be viewed in this gallery.
I would love to hear from you!

Hi Valerie, this is a lovely series. When you say “shot on Acros” are these jpegs shot using the film simulation, or have you post produced raw files to get the soft aesthetic?
Kind regards, Jon
