This was another fun encounter. The lights were on in this wood shop late at night. The workers were still there playing cards, drinking and smoking cigarettes. The most memorable were definitely meeting with the locals and being invited into their homes. One night as I was walking through the narrow streets of Old Havana I saw some light through an old tarp hanging in a doorway. I peaked in and was greeted by a giant smile. These two gentlemen were fixing an old car and invited me in. I’ve rarely experienced so much warmth and kindness as I did in Cuba last year.
