The Dog Show
The Land O’Lakes Dog Show was happening in St Paul this weekend. It was an opportunity for me to take my camera out for something new and different to start off the new decade!
Truth be told, although I absolutely LOVE dogs, I am not too fond of dog shows. My goal was to capture candid moments behind the scenes during the 90 minutes I roamed the show floor with my camera. Here are the photographs I captured.
Which is your favorite photograph?
Shot with the X-Pro 2 and 35mm. I thought I needed more reach than my usual 23mm on X100F but I found that I was often too close and the X100F would have been a better choice. Live and learn!

Wasn’t sure how to tell you which one(s) I liked, but based on your file names, I liked #20, #11, and #2, in that order. In order of appearance, the top one is my favorite, with the French Bulldog 2nd.

I agree with loving dogs, and not dog shows, for all the reasons shown in the great photos.
Let’s let dogs be dogs!😀

It’s a toss up between your first photograph and the happy Corgi.

I love seeing the French Poodles in all their glory at the dog show and the Afghan Hound is gorgeous. Of course, watching the people interact with their dogs is fascinating.
Nice work, as always.
If you ever go on Sunday the crowds are thinner but the behind the scenes action is less as well.

Definitely the 1st one, the man looks like a french actor from the 50’s, but I can’t remember his name (too young to remember!!) and the 13th. Great pics!!! Bravo
