I had a little fun at market with my new Fuji X100S. I set it to Film Simulation Velvia. Remember Velvia Fujichrome from the film days? Remember its vibrance? There was nothing else like it.
Let’s face it: Fuji knows color!
The only post processing done was a slight exposure and white balance adjustment. No vibrance added!
You’re right. Fuji does know colours. Sometimes I wish I knew about this camera before I bought my first DSLR in December last year. Having a good camera with a fixed-focal lens would have meant the only thing I had to worry about would have been taking pictures.
I always loved Fuji film in my old Petri 35mm

Is this something that you had to set before you took shots, or was an in-camera process after shooting

You set it in camera before you take the shot.

Valerie, I love color. Tons and tons of color. These photos make me happy. Is that the Farmer’s Market?

Per the note at the bottom of the post, I only adjusted exposure and WB slightly on some of the pics, no other post processing was done to the images.

I love the colours and the saturation of Velvia film. I always associate it with old postcard landscapes.
