Snapshots of Everyday Life in Paris
I’m home! I’m back in Paris to teach another week-long photo workshop. Here are a few snapshots of everyday life I collected along the way during the first two days of my new Paris adventure. Which is your favorite so far?
I absolutely love the waiter’s pose in image 4. The way she looks outside, with interest or reflection, maybe, want me to look and see what’s there. I also like the last one, I am in my “crazy about slow shutter” period 😉

The old couple; I would love to hear their story!

Midday nap. The essentials. A park. A man. A book. C’est très parisien. Bravo!

What wonderful photos!! I love the softness of the bride’s dress against the contrasting geometric shapes of the buildings, bridge and pavement. The old couple too, for me, is a winner…so emotive!!

The elderly couple touched me the most, because he seems so solicitous and gallant even though, because of her stoop, there’s no way they can meet each other’s eyes as they walk. Wonderful story there. But I also liked the napper taking a break from his book. By the way, is it just me, or is that cat the size of a Great Dane? I believe he’s sitting on a higher surface and it’s a kind of optical illusion. But the pavement looks of a piece, which makes the cat look like it’s about three feet tall!

The bride and the dancing (Tango) couple. Very good. Love ’em V!

Love them all but if I would choose a favorite it would be of the elderly couple walking arm in arm. Wish I were there!!

These are all wonderful. I love the feel of the tango shot and the bride as well. I’ve been to Paris a number of times, but never did as much “street photography” as I did “tourist photography”.

Impossible for me to choose a favorite, but just for today, I would choose the gentleman taking a snooze in the park. I’m having that kind of day. Happy to hear you are happy to be “home”.
